|Szczepan Karol Zimmer (1903-1984) was a member of the Polish American Congress, librarian, writer, and historian of literature. Before the World War II he lived in Lwow. During the World War II as a Polish soldier was a prisoner in German camps. In 1951 he emigrated to the USA. He lived in Chicago and in Los Angeles.

|The collection contains correspondence between Szczepan Karol Zimmer and the publishers, particularly "The Polish Review" and Ludwik Krzyzanowski. Letters concern Zimmer's articles and the book "The Beginning of Cyrillic Printing - Cracow 1491". Also there are financial records regarding the book, notes of the critics and press clippings.
