Cieplak Tadeusz Papers, (1939-) 1951 - 1999

Tadeusz Cieplak (1918-) is a scholar, specialist in political sciences. During World War II he was an officer of the Polish Government-in-Exile in London (1941-1945), who served in Polish diplomatic posts in the Soviet Union, Turkey and Portugal. He was also a member of the Polish Peasant Union in Exile (PSL), President of the International Peasant Union (IPU) in New York and Secretary of Stanislaw Mikolajczyk (1957-1961). He was also professor at the Pennsylvania State University and St. John University in New York.

The collection contains manuscripts of Tadeusz Cieplak's publications on the development and activities of the Polish Peasant Movement in Poland and in exile, press clippings on leaders of Polish Peasant Movement - Stanislaw Mikolajczyk and Wladyslaw Kiernik and also materials on the activities of the International Peasant Union (1951-1957). In the series - "the Polish Cultural Society of the Palm Beach" are also materials on the Polish American Community in Florida's history and activities.
