Stojowski Sigismund Papers, 1918 - 1946 (-1979)
Sigismund (Zygmunt) Stojowski (1869-1946) was a pianist, composer, pedagogue and writer. Since 1905 to 1911 he was a head of the Institute of Musical Art in New York. He was a professor at the Van Ende School of Music in New York and later at the Juilliard School in New York.

The collection contains some biographical data on Zygmunt Stojowski, correspondence and photographs. The main part of the collection contains various music scores, prints and manuscripts of compositions by Zygmunt Stojowski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Karol Rathaus and Ernest Schelling. In the series - "Polish Issues" are press clippings on Polish immigration to the USA, War World II and biographical data of Polish musicians: Artur Rodzinski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Wiktor Labunski and Witold Malcuzynski. Some materials from the last series were added to the collection after Zygmunt Stojowski death.
