Orlowicz Franciszek Col. Papers, 1945 - 1967 (-1984)
Franciszek Orlowicz (1900-1967) was a soldier and a veteran of the Polish Army. He participated as a member of Polish Home Army in the Warsaw Uprising (1944). He arrived in the USA in 1951 and was an activist of Polish Veteran Association in Pennsylvania (Stowarzyszenie Polskich Kombatantow).

The collection contains some biographical data on Franciszek Orlowicz and his wife and private correspondence. The main part of the collection contains various press clippings on the effort of the Polish Armored Forces during World War II and especially of the Polish Home Army in Warsaw Uprising (1944). There are also texts of humorous songs and jokes on the regulations of the Communist authorities in Poland and in the Soviet Union (1956-1962). The clippings were collected systematically.
