Wszelaki Jan Papers, 1940 - 1948 (-1965)
Jan Wszelaki (1894-1965) was a diplomat and scholar. Since 1918 he has served in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before World War II he held diplomatic posts in Moscow and London and also was an economic advisor to the Polish Government. During the War he was the Deputy of the Secretary General of the Polish Governmet-in-Exile in London (1939-1944) and later Representative in the United States of the Polish Governmet-in-Exile (1944-1950). He was also a member and Executive Director of the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (1962-1965).

The collection contains some biographical data on Jan Wszelaki. The main part of the collection contains various press clippings on political issues: the political situation in Poland or Eastern and Central Europe and political situation in the world (1940-1948). The main part of the press clippings was cut from the American and British newspapers. The clippings were collected systematically.
