Archival holdings: Polish collection contains records of Polish-Americans
societies, Polish-American Congress, political societies, Polish churches
and private papers from XIX to XX century. There are records of Polish
American ethnic societies in the USA in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio,
political records of Polish American Congress (PA), Polish National
Alliance in the USA as well as records regarding a newspaper 'Gwiazda'
and Polish Publishing Press Co. In private papers there are archives
of Adam de Gorowski (1805-1866), Henry Dende - publisher and Zygmunt
Nagorski - member of the Polish Government in exile. There are many
valuable photograph collections.
Other holdings: Ethnic library and other East and Central
European archival holdings (Ukrainian, Jewish, Slovak and Lithuanian)
and Polish American daily press and journals.
