This is a Presidential Library administrated by the National
Archives and Records Administration.
Archival holdings: Some records are related to the history of Poland and the Polish American community during the XIX and XX century. Many of political records, reports, correspondence on Polish foreign relations are in the White House Maps Room papers (1933-1945). There are materials on the Polish-Soviet and German-Polish problems and on the international conferences in Casablanca, Quebec, Cairo, Teheran, and Yalta. Also in the library there is a microfilm the diaries of James O'Connor (1933-1940) - financial officer of the US administration. The diary includes information of his efforts to bring relief for Poland. There is also a microfilm of Aldrich Family Papers (1770-1895) - a collection related to the activities of John Armstrong, US diplomat and politician. The collection includes letters from George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Lafayette and Tadeusz Kosciuszko.
