Founded in 1965
Polish archival holdings: The Polish
American Collection including over 4,000 monographs written by Polish
immigrants, 500 newspaper and serial titles published by Polish
organizations and ca 650 linear feet of unpublished records and
documents from Polish American organizations and private papers.
There are records of the Polish American Congress, the Polish National
Catholic Church, the American Committee for Resettlement of Polish
Displaced Persons (1949-1968), the Alliance of Poles in America,
American Relief for Poland District 33 records (1942-1950), Polish
Falcons of America records (1912-1980), Polish Library Society in
Minneapolis records (1901-1918), Polish publishers records (Czas
Publishing Company, Brooklyn, N.Y.), private papers of Karol Jaskolski,
rev. Paul Fox, Jozef Zawistowski, Aloysius Mazewski, Edward Rozanski.
Also there are papers of Henry Archacki (1934-1979), journalist
and publisher (ca 80 linear ft.). The second part of the collection
is in the Polish-American Museum in Port Washington, NY.
