Founded in 1925

Archival holdings: Records of the Kosciuszko Foundation (1922-1977) regarding the promotion of educational and cultural exchange between the United States and Poland and the increase of American understanding of Polish culture and history. Reports from meeting of the Board (since 1925), tentative lists of scholarships, correspondence with famous Polish scholars and artists, scholarships and exhibitions programs and important events: Quadricentimonial Copernicus Committee Records (1943) and Millenium of Christianity of Poland (1966). Records includes personal correspondence with scholars politicians and artists: Albert Einstein, Francis Fronczak, Wladyslaw Gorczynski, Oscar Halecki, Aleksander Janta, Manfred Kidrl, Stanislaw Kot, Waclaw Lednicki, Wincenty Lutoslawski, Witold Malcuzynski, Ignacy Paderewski, Kazimierz Pelczar, Halina Poswiatowska, Halina Rodzinska, Aleksander Skrzynski, Jadwiga Smosarska, Leopold Stokowski, Edward Sturm de Strem, Edmund S. Urbanski, Melchior Wankowicz, Kazimierz Wierzynski, Szczepan Karol Zimmer, Florian Znaniecki, Also the collection includes private correspondence and speeches of Stefan Mizwa and records related with founding of Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, PA. There are also a few small collections: Chylinski Stanislaw Papers (1934-1967) engineer, founder and President of Scientific Industrial Services Co in Chicago, includes his private correspondence, financial records and materials related to his trips to the Europe (1937-1967). Jarzebowski Casimir Papers (1913-1977), Choir Master, Radio Announcer, Treasure of Kosciuszko Foundation, includes family papers, photographs correspondence, Kosciuszko Foundation Ball Journals since 1937 to 1977, press clippings concerning his work as a Radio Announcer. Williams Cullis Edith Papers (1919-1952), activist of the Polish American Red Cross, one of benefactors of the Polish Institute of Arts & Letters. Collection includes her personal correspondence with Polish Americans: Zygmunt Stojowski, Roman Dyboski, Paul Super, Charlotte Kellog and Lucja Borski, correspondence regarding the Polish Institute of Arts & Letters and photos of Red Cross expedition to Warsaw in 1919. .
