Archival holdings: Records related to the history of
Poland and Polish American community, from XVIII to XX century.
Archive contains records of Polish American ethnic and scholar
societies in the USA (Polish American Historical Society, Polish
Institute of Arts & Sciences, Branch in Chicago, Zwiazek
Podhalan), records of Polish Roman Catholic churches and Polish
National Catholic Church, Polish American Congres, Polish Roman
Catholic Union. Personal papers in the archive contain private
and political correspondence of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, Henryk Sienkiewicz,
Jan Ignacy Paderewski. There are materials about Polish Pavilion
in the Worlds Fair 1939 in New York City (the other part is in
the New York Public Library). Also there are materials about
the Polish Army in France in the World War I, oral history collection,
news clippings on Polish Americans and Polonia events. Large
and precious map collecion (XV-XX century).
Other holdings: Collection includes museum holdings, as well as a Polish ethnic library - one of the largest outside the Poland.
