The States Archive in Lodz was established as the Archives of Historical Records in 1926. 
Archival holdings: historical records of the city and Masovian towns, local authorities, public authorities,
court records, noble families, individuals and their estates from XVI to XX century. Records of occupation authorities from World War II and state administration and political parties from post-World War II period. Vital records.
