The State Archives in Warsaw was established in 1792 as the City Archives and incorporated into
the State Archives system in 1951 . 

Archival holdings: historical records of the city and central authorities, public authorities, offices and
institutions from XIX to XX century. Records of occupation authorities from World War II and
state administration and political parties PPS; PPR; PZPR from post-World War II period. Large
collection of maps, vital records.
