Ambassador Dziewanowski Dissertation Award
The Polish Institute of Arts & Sciences of America (PIASA) in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Washington, D.C. offers each year the “Ambassador Dziewanowski Memorial Dissertation Award” for the best doctoral dissertation on a Polish topic that is accepted at an American university. The award consists of a $1000. prize with an appropriate diploma. Nominations for the best dissertation accepted in the year 2004 should be submitted by faculty advisors with a copy of it by April 18, 2005 to the Executive Director of PIASA, Dr. Thaddeus V. Gromada, New York, N.Y. 10016 This year's Dziewanowski Award will be presented during PIASA's 63 rd Annual Meeting banquet on June 4, 2005 at the University of Pittsburgh.
